I finally braided my hair!!...trouble is....I'm tired of the same, old same old bland hairdo...ever notice how when your hair is braided... you either have it tied in a bun, or parted side ways then tied in...yes you guessed it..a granny bun...or in a mow hawk, or worse still, the infamous matako style(God help us all!!!)...so I tried looking for different braid-dos ..and this are some that I found.For some strange reason I could only find limited images of actual braids,I found really neat ones of dreads..which are a lot like braids if you think about it..so these images still give you the general idea of the do..so I hope when you finally try them on your braids you get a similar look:))

..o yeah.. and I really really reaaally like the do this lady rocks from that tele novela on Citizen tv(you can stop judging me now...once in a while I'll peek at this soap(triunfo del amor) to get a glance of that cutie patootie on J-lo's I'm into you video..how do you spell M.C.S.T.E.A.M.Y?)

I get really frustrated when award shows are aired really late, so I can't stay up to watch them live from the red carpet cos I have to get up really early.Well if you missed it like I did...here are some of the pictures ..aand yes!! RED is clearly the new BLACK..but no one and I mean absolutely NO ONE worked it like 39 year old sofia vergara, (30 freaking 9!!). She flaunted her curves in a Vera Wang coral one shouldered crepe gown with chiffon draping ...this dress was sexier than her accent, and if u don't agree...GET OUT OF TOWN!!(I mean it!)

WIGG-TACULAR!!

I've been thinking a lot lately about getting a wig..wigs simply because I would not be caught dead having weaved my hair..and its not that I have anything against weaves... *crickets*..who I'm I kidding, I have plenty against weaves e.g..those weaves that are so shiny, from an aerial view you look like your trying to s.o.s extra-terrestrial life ..if ever there was an alien attack...I'd blame it on those damn synthetic weaves, and how about a can of hairspray for a shinier,glossier(believe me its possible) effect??but that could just be my opinion...(and that of about 50 other million men and women in the planet!!)
I've been having a tonne of bad hair days. It's just been one of those months that I wake up, then I realise that I have to comb my hair and at this point I wish I could go back to sleep, but you can't cos u have to get ready for work(*sigh*..responsibility is such a pain in the rear end.) and in my head im thinking, how easy would this be if i could slip something on that would look good and neat, till i'm ready to go to the salon and fix my hair???Trouble is, finding that something that will look good on you..so i started to ask around and this is what I found out.
1. The miracle that is front lace wigs: These wigs give the appearance that hair is is growing from the scalp, making them look very natural. Lace wigs can be made with synthetic hair or 100% real human hair. Front lace wigs are considered superior because they are made with a cap that closely resembles the human scalp, and a thin sheer mesh fabric material attached. It is this mesh material that is referred to as the lace. This lace is temporarily glued to ones skin around the hairline to give the illusion that that's your real hair.

The mesh will have the same skin tone as your skin and when applied against your skin it will disappear. It is undetectable.

Full lace wigs can be parted anywhere throughout the wig so its very easy to style... but be warned its really hard to find professional lace wiggers(my word..so don't go writing it in compositions) you may end up looking like an atrocity.
2. A good fit is necessary for the best comfort..you don't want to be walking around tagging at your wig, checking that it hasn't been blown away by the wind or something like that.Comfort when buying a wig is paramount.

For a round face : If you have a round face, feel free to go long! In fact, you do not want to have a wig that ends right at the chinline - it will only make your face seem rounder. Keep your hair straight - full on top, straight on the sides, and long.

For a square face: You can soften-up a square face with wispy bangs and flowing layers. Have your hair cut in layers. Try on a curly or wavy haired wig. Again, feel free to long - you want to create the illusion of length.

For a heart-shaped face: A person with a heart shaped face has a wide forehead and a small chin, you therefore want one that makes the forehead look narrower and the chin look wider .Try out wavy curls or a chin-length bob. Also, consider trying on a wig with bangs.

For an oval face: If you have an oval face, you might find that any one of the above mentioned styles of wigs look great. An oval face looks great with long hair and with short hair, wavy and straight, bangs and no bangs. Pretty much, the whole world of wigs is open to you if you have an oval-shaped face!



Hopefully, by the end of the month..my bad hair days will be history.Be sure to get a wig that looks natural if you cannot afford real human hair...don't want alien visitors now do we?:-))xoxo!

Don't you just hate how the media refers to women that are not Victoria Beckham's size as plus size. I cannot stand it especially when the fashion scene makes big beautiful women feel like freaks of nature!!

I used to absolutely hate it when I went to some events and I bumped into people I hadn't seen in a while and the first thing they'd tell me was how fat I'd gotten!?Usually i'd ask myself errr, who died and made you the weight police?..then I'd want to take a shoe, gorge their eyes out and feed them to hungry lions in some jungle somewhere(gory, i know..alot goes on in my mind) but then again, after a shot of something (usually strong and alcoholic)I'd think to myself, hold on a minute..it's not their fault, i HAVE gained weight since they last saw me and it's ok!There's no rule against it!
Everything lies in accepting yourself for who you are and knowing that you have the power to change if you truly wanted to.
I know it's been said like a million times, but i cannot over emphasize enough just how BIG REALLY IS BEAUTIFUL!! a plus sized woman can look good in anything, despite all the myths that surround the industry on plus size dressing(such as a plus size woman cannot rock skinny jeans!!...MYTH!!!)..all u need is the knowledge of how to put http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif

this top with that skirt, what colour suits you best, experiment with this style and that style..it's always good to try out new things..the only thing that's permanent is change right?...in the words of Tim gunn..".MAKE IT WORK PEOPLE!!!"


we all come in different shapes and sizes and there is really no right shape or size so DO YOU whatever shape or size you are AND BE FRIGGIN HAPPY!!!LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO LET PEOPLE DEFINE HOW YOU LIVE IT!

WHEN IN DOUBT..LEGG IT UP!!

Leggings have been around for ages but they have recently been revamped to look edgier and modern, but wearing them can be quite intimidating...and a few of you ladies have embraced this trend but in a very fashion no-no way, so here are a couple of tips to help you wear them in a flattering way: 1. Wear leggings in black or neutral colours.Black being the best because you can pair them with virtually anything. brown and gray are also very good whEn it comes to pairing up with other items while women with an eye for fashion have tried the multi-coloured legging look but its best not to go to colour crazy.

2. Do not wear leggings as trousers especially if you have jiggly assets(for lack of a better term).

3. Ballet flats or super cute doll shoes look reallly good with this look but avoid the best you can pairing leggings with stillettos...if you feel like you need to wear high shoes, cute wedges would be a great alternative.

4.During the cold season pairing leggings with flat boots is very trendy...just dont wear those fully sharp pointed boots cos that's a sure way to murder the leggings look (and that look is very two thousand and late)...trade in your sharp pointy boots for cow boy boots or some desert boots instead. 5. Metallic leggings look great for a night out in the town..at this point you can pair them up with a sassy pair of heels to bring your diva out.
Wet look leggings named so for the watery look they have are a great ensemble for a party or mad rave . ..and shimmery leggings add a fun element to dressing up for a party and they are great if you want to make a fashion statement.Images from google.
